The benefits

Why UK families make a Will.

A properly drafted Will gives you clarity, control and peace of mind, so the people you love are looked after the way you intend.

  • Keep your family in control

Decide exactly who inherits your home, savings and possessions, rather than leaving it to the intestacy rules.

  • Choose your children's guardians

Name the people you trust to raise your children, instead of leaving the decision to the courts.

  • Protect the family home

Use a Will, and a trust where it helps, to keep property in the family for the people you name.

  • Faster, simpler probate

A clear, valid Will helps your family avoid delays, extra legal costs and stressful paperwork.

  • Plan for Inheritance Tax

Understand where your estate sits today and the simple steps that can reduce what HMRC takes.

  • Peace of mind from £99

One fixed fee, quoted upfront, with a specialist checking everything before you sign.

FAQ

Answers, in plain English.

What happens if I die without a Will?
The intestacy rules decide who inherits. An unmarried partner may receive nothing, and part of your estate can pass to relatives you would not have chosen.
How much does a Will cost?
Single Wills start at £99 and mirror Wills for couples start at £149. If your situation needs a trust we quote a fixed fee upfront before any work begins.
How long does the process take?
The questionnaire takes a few minutes. Most Wills are drafted within 48 hours and ready to sign the same week.
Can I do it all online?
Yes. Everything up to signing is done online or by phone. We then guide you through signing and witnessing so your Will is legally valid.
Do I need a Lasting Power of Attorney too?
A Will only takes effect after death. An LPA lets someone you trust make decisions if you lose capacity during your lifetime, so most families put both in place.
Who prepares my Will?
Your Will is prepared and checked by legal specialists at Aiker Legal, the multi service UK law firm behind Aiker Legacy.
